FIFA Secretary General says unwanted kiss "derailed" Spain's World Cup joy
FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura says that the global reaction in support of Spanish star Jenni Hermoso reminded her about "what happened after George Floyd was killed" when people from all walks of life protested his death. Speaking exclusively to CNN's Senior Sports Analyst Darren Lewis at the Best of Africa Awards, Samoura said that the unwanted kiss from Spanish FA president Luis Rubilaes had "derailed" the team's joy after La Roja had won their inaugural Women's World Cup and undermined the work she had done in the fight for gender equality.
