Colombian soldiers train in Tumaco municipality, Narino department, Colombia on April 14, 2018 as they wait to take part in a military operation against renegade Colombian rebels who kidnapped and killed two Ecuadorean journalists and their driver.

Ecuador and Colombia launched a retaliatory military operation in the dense jungle border zone where the remnants of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) rebel group operate. Ecuador's military has blamed the abduction on the Oliver Sinisterra Front, a group which counts between 70 and 80 rebels and is headed by Walter Artizala, an Ecuadoran in his 30s who goes by the name "Guacho." / AFP PHOTO / Raul ARBOLEDA (Photo credit should read RAUL ARBOLEDA/AFP/Getty Images)
