Texas church shooter Devin Kelley allegedly posted multiple anti-god, atheist related, and pro-gun violence content on his Facebook page in the months prior to the shooting, former classmates and community members tell CNN.
In one Facebook post allegedly from October 29, 2017, Kelley posted a picture of a rifle with the comment "she's a bad bitch". Authorities have said a Ruger 556 rifle was recovered at the scene of the church. A CNN gun expert say the gun posted to Kelley's Facebook page is possibly a Ruger 556, though from reviewing the picture, it has had many modifications, including changes made to the scope, stock, light, trigger, etc. CNN cannot definitively say this is the same gun used in the attack.
"He was preaching his beliefs of atheism, lots of gun violence videos, and pretty much just nonsense. A ridiculous amount of nonsense, " former classmate and Facebook friend Christopher Longoria told CNN's Brian Todd.
Kelley's Facebook page was taken down Sunday, hours after the shooting but people in the community have confirmed its existence and contents with CNN.
Wilson County Sheriff Joe Tackitt confirmed to CNN that the selfie posted to Kelley's Facebook page is that of the shooter (pic below).
