Time editor Edward Felsenthal says "the first move in the authoritarian playbook is the control of information, the suppression of people who try to get the facts out. And we saw that in a major way" in 2018, which is why the magazine's Person of the Year cover featured "The Guardians," numerous journalists who have been targeted because of their work.
