Internal focus: UK-based studio Gresham Yacht Design has turned conventional superyacht creation on its head by devising the interior of its latest yacht concept Thor Explore first.

Futuristic concept: Renderings of the 100-meter mega yacht reveal its impressive internal spaces, which have something of a spaceship feel.

Double-height spaces: Its upper level features a mission control center, while a sunken seating area appears to be floating between the decks just below.

Luxurious areas: The beach club, positioned "high above the waterline," holds fold down balconies and offers passengers fantastic ocean views.

Organic shapes: The spacious saloon features large nautilus windows as well as a glass floor that transforms to opaque "with the flick of a switch."

Ocean views: Situated above the waterline, the beach club also holds fold down balconies that offer impressive views of the ocean.

Safe stowage: The yacht concept also contains a fully certified helideck with its own hangar.

Coming soon? Although it's just a concept at present, Thor Explore is now in the advanced stages of the design process according to the team at Gresham Yacht Design.

External view: According to the designers, the internal spaces "directly inform the exterior styling," which is equally impressive.

Cutting edge: If the concept is picked up by a shipyard and built from scratch, it could be built within three or four years "depending on the finish desired".
