"Manhattanhenge," as coined by astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson, occurred on May 29, 2014 in New York. Unfortunately clouds got in the way of the spectacle this year, unlike 2013 (pictured). It's one of four days in the year (the others being May 30, July 11 and July 12) when the sun will set perfectly in line with the city's street grid.
