
Entire Swedish village for sale: Sätra Brunn, in Vastmanland County, about 90 minutes north of Stockholm, is one of Sweden's oldest health resorts.

Scandi wellness: The village was founded by Dr Samuel Scragge in 1700 and is built around a natural spring well.

62 acres: The village comprises more than 70 buildings spread across 62 acres, with an additional 84 acres of undeveloped forest beyond.

Midsommar: The village plays host to an annual midsummer party which attracts around 6,000 guests.

Winter is coming: It's less equipped for winter though, as some buildings lack insulation and temperatures here can drop to minus 10 C or lower.

Locally owned: The village has been under the ownership of a group of local residents since the early 1990s.

Handover: Now, however, "they're getting up in age a bit and they feel like it's time for someone else to take the lead," says Jonas Martinsson of Christie's International Real Estate.

Village church: There is a deconsecrated church and a pre-school with 40 local children currently enrolled.

Spa: The village has a hotel, a restaurant and a working spa which includes that most Swedish of amenities, a sauna.

Gym: It wouldn't be a wellness village if it didn't have somewhere where you can work out.
