Ultra-luxury villa: The Private Reserve in the Maldives -- world's largest overwater villa -- is one of the leading tropical getaways for the super-rich and famous.

Castaway experience: The mansion, which stands on stilts, belongs to the luxurious Gili Lankanfushi, which is located just a short boat-ride away.

Lavish amenities: The villa comes with four bedrooms, a cinema room, a butler's wing, a rooftop terrace and a mini-gym.

Spacious retreat: The rooms consist of two en-suite bedrooms and a two-bedroom duplex master suite. If guests require even more space, they can convert the library/study room into an additional bedroom.

Eco-friendly: The thatched roofs are made from kajan, a special palm leaf that older Maldivian generations used to build their roofs.

Secluded haven: As the 18,000 square foot villa is only accessible by water, guests are brought over by boat and are given the boat keys for the duration of their stay.

Rustic decor: The furniture at the villa is sourced from reclaimed Indian teak wood and Australian cedar and casarina.

VIP clientele: According to Gili Lankanfushi staff, guests tend to be mostly wealthy families, couples and groups of friends.

World-class service: "Actually, it is common that we only have a couple staying there, and then two butlers will be serving them 24 hours," says Bahauddeen, director of rooms at the resort.

Open-air cinema: Guests can keep themselves entertained by watching movies in the cinema area.

Rooftop dining: There are two outdoor dining pavilions at The Private Reserve and guests can create their own wine cellar selection from a list of around 400 labels.

Pampering palace: The villa also has a private couple's spa with a sauna, steam room and an indoor and outdoor treatment pavilion.
