Retired aircraft: German airline Lufthansa has launched a product collection made from a decommissioned Airbus A340-600 D-AIHO.

Inventive collection: Various parts of the plane have been transformed into quirky coffee tables.

Lengthy procedure: The process of dismantling the 75-meter long airplane took nearly 10 weeks.

High-quality items: Two of its windows have been converted into a trendy wall bar.

Stylish products: Some of the aircraft's other windows have been made into wall clocks.

Professionally dismantle: Approximately 92% of the Airbus was recycled to create the Lufthansa Upcycling Collection.

Unique pieces: This coffee table, priced at 1,399 euros ($1,547), is a one-off item made from the aircraft's side panel.

Exclusive accessories: The aircraft's aluminum cladding was used to produce key rings, which are priced at 25 euros ($27).

Discarded materials: The aircraft's business class blankets and headrest covers were used to create briefcases, backpacks and wash bags.

Sustainably recycled: "The special thing about the Lufthansa Upcycling Collection is that something of the aircraft's spirit can be preserved," says Sebastian Riedle, spokesperson and managing director of Miles & More GmbH.
