  • Sarah Westwood is a CNN reporter covering the White House and is based in Washington, D.C.

    Westwood joined CNN from the Washington Examiner where she covered the Trump White House, Cabinet agencies and their interactions with Congress. Before that, she was an investigative reporter for the Examiner, covering government waste, fraud and abuse in major agencies and among elected officials.

    She is a graduate George Washington University and received the Robert Novak Journalism Fellowship, a yearlong journalism fellowship from the Fund for American Studies where she researched waste and fraud in foreign aid contracting through the U.S. Agency for International Development (AID).
