Sarah Faidell is a Newsdesk Producer for CNN based at the network's Asia-Pacific headquarters in Hong Kong. She works on the International Desk across television and digital platforms, as well as in the field, most recently working on stories including the coronavirus pandemic, Hong Kong protests, and Trump-Kim summits.
Before moving to Hong Kong in 2018, Faidell was a researcher on the International Desk at CNN's World Headquarters in Atlanta, covering a range of international news from the Nice terror attacks to the Olympics to Brexit.
Faidell worked as a field producer for CNN International in the aftermath of Hurricane Irma on St. Croix, and field produced in the days before and after Hurricane Maria in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
Prior to CNN, Faidell was the assignment editor at KOIN in Portland, Oregon managing teams of reporters through major national stories.
She graduated from Quinnipiac University in Connecticut where she majored in Broadcast Journalism and studied International Relations and Spanish.
