  • Samantha Bresnahan is an award-winning producer, writer and editor in CNN International's feature production unit. She has more than a decade of experience creating multiplatform content across a variety of subjects including health and wellness, sport, space, the environment, and breaking news specials.

    For the past six years, she was the senior producer for the monthly half-hour program 'Vital Signs with Dr. Sanjay Gupta', and one of the lead producers of the 'World Sport Presents' documentary series. Bresnahan has field produced in more than a dozen countries, including India, Brazil, Kuwait, South Korea, and Thailand.

    She received the 2020 Environmental Media Association award for the documentary 'Ted Turner: Captain Planet' and a 2020 South Asian Journalists Association award for 'Vital Signs', along with multiple Foreign Press Association, National Headliner, CINE Golden Eagle, and New York Festivals awards and nominations throughout her career. She was a 2017 Livingston Awards finalist and 3-time News & Documentary Emmy nominee.

    Bresnahan is a graduate of Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a dual degree in broadcast journalism and international relations. In 2018, she earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Narrative Media Writing from the University of Georgia's Grady College of Journalism & Mass Communication.
