  • Rebecca Kutler is the Senior Vice President and Head of Programming for CNN+, CNN's direct-to-consumer platform. In this role, she oversees live programming across all dayparts, taped studio shows, special events, and breaking news. Rebecca also oversees all analysts, contributors and commentators for CNN worldwide, a job she has held since 2015.

    During her 20 years at CNN, Kutler has served in a variety of leadership roles in Washington DC, New York and Atlanta. She served as an executive producer across multiple dayparts and launched several of CNN's top shows including Inside Politics. Kutler also served as a senior producer for the network's marquee political programming including election nights and presidential debates. She ran CNN's control room during many critical events, including some of the key coverage hours surrounding the death of Osama Bin Laden, the Arab Spring, and the BP Oil Spill. Earlier in her career, she worked as a field producer leading CNN's teams on assignments including the 2005 London bombing, the Greensburg tornado, the Minnesota bridge collapse, and the Sandy Hook shooting.

    Kutler has developed and executive produced network specials including The Color of Covid, We Remember: A National Memorial Service for the Victims of Covid-19, The Messy Truth with Van Jones and The Axe Files. She also led television efforts to launch the award-winning CNN Original Series and Films and served as a supervising producer on the CNN Film We Will Rise featuring First Lady Michelle Obama and Meryl Streep. Additionally, she developed and executive produced several podcasts around CNN Films including RBG: Beyond Notorious and Apollo 11: Beyond the Moon.

    She began her career as an intern for Late Edition with Wolf Blitzer in CNN's DC bureau. She graduated from George Washington University and holds a Masters in Journalism from Columbia University. She and her husband live in Maryland with their three children.
