• Michael Hogenmiller is a Creative Director in Product Design at CNN, whose work focuses on ideating and developing large-scale digital products for both start-ups and large-scale media brands. Hogenmiller specializes in guiding cross-functional teams through continuous product discovery, new product creation, developing product and portfolio strategies, and creating new product platforms, tools and capabilities. His projects have focused on the launch and user-experience of products on a number of platforms, including Snapchat Discover, Apple News, Google Amp Stories, and iOS and Android phone, tablet and wearables apps. Hogenmiller is passionate about the intersection of data, personalization, and news and information, and currently focuses his efforts around personalization and data-driven product experiences.

    Prior to joining CNN, Hogenmiller worked in Los Angeles and New York on startups that aimed to disrupt the digital news space. Before that, he worked in digital media and strategy for political campaigns in the 2008 election.

    Hogenmiller has received numerous accolades, including awards from the Webby Awards and the HOW In-House Design Awards, as well as an Edward R. Murrow award and a Cannes Silver Lion.

    Hogenmiller graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas where he studied Political Science, History, and Music Performance.
