  • Maureen Chowdhury is a producer for CNN's Social TV team based in Washington, DC. She helps manage and produce content for social media accounts for CNN shows.

    Prior to CNN, Chowdhury was a video producer at McClatchy where she produced evergreen original, social and mobile friendly content for the company's 30 newsrooms, including The Miami Herald, The Sacramento Bee and The Kansas City Star. Along with producing content, she also was a part of the team that worked with newsrooms to become more video and digital centric.

    While at McClatchy, Chowdhury won a Webby People's Voice Award for an interactive project she helped conceptualize and produce, "Trumps Inner Circle: The Ties to Russia." She was also a part of the McClatchy Studios team that won a Lone Star Sports Emmy for the docuseries "Titletown, TX: 'All We Got.'"

    Her beginnings in journalism also includes working as a local on-air reporter and producer for Montgomery Community Media in Montgomery County, Maryland and stints at PBS, NPR and WTOP Radio.
