  • Marshall Cohen is a CNN reporter and producer based in Washington, DC. For the past two years, he's covered the multi-faceted Russia investigation, including the special counsel probe, related legal cases and court activity, and the continuing fallout from Russian interference in the 2016 election. He led a team that created a series of interactive projects about the investigation for CNN.com, which received the Sigma Delta Chi Award and the Eppy Award.

    During the 2016 presidential campaign, Cohen was a producer and researcher for CNN's Political Unit, where he worked on the network's debates, town halls and other special events, including coverage of election-night results and both national conventions. He was on the team that earned an Emmy Award nomination for producing CNN's presidential debates. He also wrote political articles and analysis for CNN.com.

    Prior to joining CNN in 2015, Cohen worked at CBS News, most recently with "Face the Nation" under moderators Bob Schieffer and John Dickerson. Cohen was born near Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Northwestern University with degrees in journalism and political science. He was managing editor of The Daily Northwestern when it won the Pacemaker, the highest award in college journalism.
