    • Manav Tanneeru is senior director of product for CNN. In this role he leads cross-functional teams focused on a range of digital products, services and capabilities to deliver the best user experience for CNN Politics. He also helped lead coverage for the 2016 elections and the launch of CNN Business.

      Tanneeru has occupied a variety of roles throughout his time at CNN. He previously was the director of the Interactives team, leading multimedia and data-driven storytelling at CNN. The team's "Home and Away" data visualization— which visualized US and coalition casualties in Afghanistan and Iraq — won recognition and accolades for the team, including an Overseas Press Club citation.

      Tanneeru also held CNN positions as a writer and producer, contributing coverage to stories like the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, the financial crisis of 2007 and the 2008 elections.

      Prior to CNN, Tanneeru was a digital producer at WXIA, an NBC affiliate in Atlanta. While there, he won a regional Emmy award for a series on outsourcing.

      Tanneeru holds a bachelor's degree in political science from Georgia State University. He currently lives in New York City with his wife.
