  • Lilit Marcus is a New York City-based writer and editor for CNN Travel.

    Her work has also appeared in The Wall Street Journal, Vogue, The Guardian, Vanity Fair, and The Atlantic. Marcus' first book, Save the Assistants: A Guide for Surviving and Thriving in the Workplace, was published by Hyperion.

    Marcus is fluent in American Sign Language and in French, and she enjoys using her language skills to cover interesting topics, such as when she reported on the opening of America's first all-sign-language Starbucks store.

    Marcus is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina, and a graduate of UNC Greensboro.
