Lauren Elizabeth Lee is an Associate Producer with CNN Special Projects. Lauren graduated from Kent State University with a B.S. in broadcast journalism.
Lauren is a lover of storytelling. Whether it is with prose or multimedia presentations, she is known for her ability to engage and entertain. Lauren studied Broadcast Journalism at Kent State University, Video Production at Specs Howard School of Media Arts, and she received a certification in Social Media from Poynter's News University. Lauren's career began while attending KSU when she worked as a production assistant on the History Channel Documentary "This Week in History: Kent State Anti-War Protest Turns into a Battlefield:
She spent three years at one of Detroit's top stations WXYZ-TV (ABC) splitting time between writing for Emmy winning noon newscast and working as an Associate Producer and Field Producer for events such as the Detroit Grand Prix. While at WXYZ, Lauren connected with Florine Mark, the largest franchisee of Weight Watchers International. She was tapped to handle public relations for Mark and the brand in addition to producing her sponsored series "Ask Florine".
Lauren resides in Atlanta, Georgia where she is an Associate Producer in CNN Special Projects, working on sponsored series for CNN, HLN and CNN Digital. In 2017, she won a NAIMIC Vision Award for her efforts to tell diverse stories.
