  • Lauren Dezenski is a reporter for CNN Politics, where she covers politics and co-writes the newsletter of "The Point with Chris Cillizza."

    Dezenski has previously covered Massachusetts politics for POLITICO and founded the Massachusetts Playbook. She also co-created a podcast about Massachusetts campaigns called The Horse Race. Before that, Dezenski covered Boston politics for the Dorchester Reporter. She has also worked for the Boston Globe, covered the Massachusetts State House for the The Cape Cod Times and the New Bedford Standard-Times, and covered technology for Macworld UK. Dezenski got her start in journalism at her high school newspaper The Eyrie.

    In addition to reporting from New Hampshire throughout the 2016 election and covering the 2016 DNC, Dezenski has covered multiple would-be presidential candidates like Elizabeth Warren, Deval Patrick, Seth Moulton, Joe Kennedy, and more. She also wrote about the ill-fated Boston Olympic bid - launching her own newsletter for the Dorchester Reporter.

    Dezenski's work while at Boston University's Daily Free Press earned her the Nathan H. Miller Award. She was also named Minnesota's High School Journalist of the Year in 2010.

    Dezenski graduated from Boston University with a BS in journalism. She was born and raised in Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
