    Blaine oversees a dedicated CNN Politics team covering the 2020 election cycle. He also partners with CNN television newsgathering to coordinate coverage for debates, campaign rallies, town halls and breaking news. Additionally, Blaine managed the coverage of the 2018 midterm elections for CNN Politics.

    KFile is widely praised as a "scoop team," known for breaking news by scouring the internet through research, fact checking, and investigative reporting.

    Prior to joining CNN, Blaine was deputy politics editor for BuzzFeed.

    He graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in political science. Originally from Florida, he now lives and works in Washington, D.C.
