About

  • Jordan Malter is an award-winning producer for CNN. He has covered a wide range of economic, political and social issues.

His feature work includes an Emmy-nominated special on children living on food stamps, investigations into fringe movements in tech, early coverage of the oil boom and bust in North Dakota, unique looks at marijuana legalization, and powerful human stories of sexual harassment, homelessness and poverty. He has produced interviews with some of the biggest names in business including Mark Zuckerberg, Warren Buffett and Howard Schultz. He also talked with voters during swing state tours before the 2012 and 2016 presidential elections.

He looks for stories that are thought-provoking and shed light on perspectives not widely covered by other media outlets. Humanizing topics like labor dynamics, income inequality, urban economies and controversial industries is what he does best.

Malter graduated from Yale University in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science, focusing on behavioral economics. You can follow him on Twitter @jmalt87.
