  • Jeesoo Park is Supervising Producer, currently overseeing daily morning news show Big Picture with Sara Sidner in addition to a weekly series on CNN+.

    Based in New York, Park leads a team tasked with developing thought-provoking deep dives into the most important issues of the moment. The program Big Picture with Sara Sidner covers topics including politics, culture, health, race and identity, and international conflict.

    Park joined CNN in 2018 as part of its digital documentary team. Through narrative storytelling, she reported on subjects ranging from Roe v. Wade to immigration to the criminal justice system. Her 30-minute documentary short on the rise of incarcerated mothers and developing prison policy initiatives broke a record for the unit with more than 5 million views and growing.

    In 2019, Park pivoted to help launch then oversee day-to-day editorial and operations for daily news program Go There in partnership with Facebook. She worked with over 120 correspondents and contributors who filed episodes from more than 50 countries around the world. The first-perspective, immersive program neared a total of 1 billion video views and won multiple honors, including a News & Documentary Emmy Award nomination. The nominated episode featuring CNN on the ground in Wuhan as the Covid-19 pandemic was first taking hold is to date the most watched news video on Facebook with over 210 million views.

    Previously, Jeesoo worked for ABC News and National Geographic, producing longform series and content for both digital and broadcast.

    Park is a member of the Asian American Journalists Association, and was raised in the Washington, DC area. She is a graduate of Bucknell University and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
