  • Evan Semones is an associate producer on CNN's Digital Video team, helping to create and program original content for all of CNN's digital platforms, including CNN.com, CNNgo, and the CNN mobile app.

    Semones began his career with CNN as a producing intern on Wolf Blitzer's show "Wolf", where he researched and wrote segments during the historic 2016 Republican and Democratic National Conventions. Shortly thereafter, he joined the CNN Digital Video team as a freelance production assistant.

    Prior to joining CNN, Semones was a multimedia political reporting intern with the Pulitzer Prize-winning News & Observer, a freelance contributor with Getty Images, and a multimedia reporter for his college's student paper, The Daily Tar Heel.

    A native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Semones holds a B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in broadcast journalism and is a diehard Tar Heels basketball fan and self-professed politics fanatic.
