  • Erica Hernandez is a producer on the CNN Digital Global Programming team.

    In her programming role, she reviews hundreds of stories published each day to curate a feed tailored to CNN's ever growing and evolving mobile audience, and is responsible for story selection, headlines and images that appear across CNN Digital international and domestic sites. She's known within the company for her relentless and exhaustive headline tests, and her obsessive passion for finding out what connects best with audiences. Hernandez has led programming planning on key events and sponsorships such as International Women's Day 2019, Thanksgiving 2019, and CNN's Pride & Progress.

    Before joining CNN, Hernandez was a member of Cox Media Group's Digital Talent Program. Most recently, she was a multimedia journalist at the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, where she shot, edited and produced videos and podcasts for the newspaper and its sister station, WSB-TV.

    A graduate of the University of Florida, Erica is a Gator in Georgia Bulldog nation. Born and bred in Miami, she's a second-generation Cuban-American with a constant thirst for a good cafecito.
