  • Emily Jipson leads product for CNN Business where she oversees the market and economic data platforms and news experiences that enable editors to tell stories through live data. Her other focus is on financial empowerment, creating new experiences that bring confidence and knowledge to personal money management.

    Prior to joining CNN Business, Jipson was the Vice President of Product for eMoney's suite of financial planning products, led Zillow's New York product portfolio, modernized Yahoo Finance as Head of Product and launched a FinTech robo-advisor to empower female investors as GM/CPO. In addition, Jipson was the VP of Product for Wall Street Journal, VP of Product at Gerson Lehrman Group, CTO/CPO for MoneyMedia (a subsidiary of the Financial Times) and the first US product manager for FT.com.

    Jipson began her career as a web developer and usability analyst in Minneapolis, working with Fortune 500 firms and start-ups, having built her first website in 1996. She holds a BS in International Relations from the University of Wisconsin and a Masters from Columbia University in Technology Management.
