Chelsea Stone is the editorial director for CNN Underscored based in New York City. She leads Underscored’s editorial strategy and manages content across all product categories. Previously, Stone was a senior editor at Underscored covering deals and product news.
Before joining CNN, Stone was senior commerce editor at The Inventory, G/O Media’s product recommendation website. There, she wrote reviews, round-ups, news and personal essays, along with hundreds of blogs for The Inventory’s deals vertical, Kinja Deals. Her articles appeared on sites throughout the company, including Gizmodo, Jezebel, Deadspin, Lifehacker and more. Stone also worked at Condé Nast as an associate trending editor, covering all things pop culture across 12 brands at the company. She began her career as an editorial assistant at Glamour magazine.
A Las Vegas native, Stone earned a bachelor’s degree in print and digital journalism from the University of Southern California and a master’s degree in communications from Syracuse University’s S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications.
