  • Charis Satchell is an Associate Producer for CNN Audio's Original Series team.

    Prior to joining CNN, she was a Broadcast Associate at CBS Sunday Morning and a News Associate for the CBS Evening News. She started her career as an intern with CNN Heroes in 2017.

    Satchell is a member of the National Association of Black Journalists. She also volunteers for Ronald McDonald House New York and Girls Write Now, New York's first and only nonprofit writing and mentoring organization for girls and gender non-conforming youth.

    A first generation American to Jamaican parentage, Satchell is a proud New Yorker who loves the beach, discovering new foods and indulging in fashion. She holds a B.A. from the University at Albany and a M.A. from Hofstra University, with both degrees being in journalism. During her Master's program, she was one of four students chosen to work with WABC-TV to cover the 2016 presidential debate at Hofstra University.
