Brian Vitagliano is a Supervising Producer based in the New York Bureau.
During his tenure at CNN, Brian Vitagliano has covered major news stories such as the collapse of Enron, the September 11th terror attacks, Hurricane Katrina, the Boston Bombings and the Newtown, CT shootings. Brian was a finalist in the 2011 New York Festival Television and Film Awards for his coverage of a continuing news story entitled, "The Journey Home". He shot and produced this three-part series with CNN Pentagon Correspondent Barbara Starr focusing on the journey American service men and women make after being injured in Afghanistan. Vitagliano is currently a Supervising Producer with the CNN New York Bureau. He began his career at CNN Financial News in 1998. He worked on the assignment desk managing photojournalists, coordinating satellite feeds and later became a field producer.
