  • Brett Roegiers is a photo editor at CNN Digital who oversees assignments and special projects. He commissions photography for breaking news, enterprise and feature stories.

    Brett helped launch the CNN Photos blog in 2011 and went on to become its lead editor. He was also one of the photo editors for Unprecedented: The Election That Changed Everything, a book that features exclusive work from more than two dozen photographers who chronicled the 2016 U.S. presidential campaign for CNN.

    While earning his journalism degree at the University of Florida, Brett cultivated a knack for web development and design with a focus on multimedia storytelling. He does portfolio reviews at the Eddie Adams Workshop and has attended the Kalish Workshop and the Atlanta Photojournalism Seminar.

    His work has been recognized by Pictures of the Year International, the National Press Photographers Association, American Photography, the Peabody Awards, Editor and Publisher, the Society of Professional Journalists and the Webby Awards.
