Angela Barajas is a bilingual Field Producer based at the network's global headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia. During her time at CNN, Barajas has covered major international and domestic breaking news stories such as the Santa Fe High School shooting, the aftermath of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico and the deadly earthquake in Mexico City. Barajas covered extensively the 2016 US election culminating with field producing during the inauguration of Donald Trump as the 45th US President.
Prior to CNN, Barajas was a producer for Univision's network newscast Noticiero Univision in Miami. In 2013, Barajas helped launch Fusion, originally an ABC News and Univision joint venture, from piloting shows to pitching programming ideas. She also contributed to the network's breaking news coverage on the ground in Ferguson.
Barajas's experience ranges from producing breaking news, documentaries, specials, and daily news content for primetime. She started her journalism career at CBS affiliate WFOR in South Florida, a place she calls home. Barajas is a proud Penn Stater with a degree in Broadcast Journalism with minors in Political Science and Spanish.
