    • Amanda Katz is a senior editor for CNN's investigations team, based in New York.

      Katz came to CNN in 2017 after five years at the Boston Globe, where she served as deputy editor of the Living/Arts department and editor of the Sunday Ideas section. She co-edited the 2016 Spotlight investigation "Private Schools, Painful Secrets," on sexual abuse by staffers at New England prep schools. She has also been a senior editor for Slate and spent five years an editor of fiction and nonfiction books at Bloomsbury USA.

      Katz has written about books and digital culture for the New York Times, the Boston Globe, Slate, NPR, and other outlets. She holds an MFA in poetry from Brown University.
