  • Alisha Ebrahimji is a Social Discovery Producer for CNN where she newsgathers and writes on domestic and international topics from New York City.

    Ebrahimji comes to CNN after a career in local news as a TV reporter, most recently spending three years at WFAA-TV in Dallas, Texas. Prior to her time in Dallas, she was a TV reporter in Norfolk, Virginia and Phoenix, Arizona.

    Throughout her career, Ebrahimji has traveled nationally and internationally to get "the story." In the communities she's lived in, she covered a variety of topics from breaking news to pop culture. Ebrahimji is an Emmy-nominated journalist and an Associated Press award recipient. Additionally, she's the recipient of an Edward R. Murrow Award winner for a story that took her to Bihar, India.

    Ebrahimji has moved several times for work but she's not shy to call Dallas, Texas home. She has a degree in Mass Communication/Journalism from Texas State University.
