Georgia Senate special Results

Democrats gained the Senate majority by winning both of Georgia’s January 5 runoff elections. Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock defeated Republican Sens. David Perdue and Kelly Loeffler, respectively, giving Democrats 50 seats and control with Vice President-elect Kamala Harris acting as the tie-breaker. In November, Biden became the first Democrat to win Georgia since Bill Clinton in 1992. See 2020 primary results
