Logitech StreamCam Webcam

The Logitech StreamCam isn’t just our best webcam pick for content creators — it’s also one of the best gadgets I own. This camera makes me look better than just about any other I’ve tested, making it my go-to for streaming, podcasting and looking as sharp as possible during work calls. Now at the lowest price we’ve seen since Black Friday, it’s an even easier recommendation for aspiring YouTubers and everyday WFHers alike.

The Logitech Streamcam is down to $114 from its $170 starting price, which is a savings of $55. Though not the lowest price we’ve seen yet on this high-end webcam, it’s the best price we’ve seen since the Black Friday low last year. And if you care about looking your best on camera without splurging on a fancy DSLR, it’s more than worth that relatively low price.

Best Tested

The Logitech StreamCam's excellent picture quality, design and features make it one of our top webcam picks, and it's at its lowest price since Black Friday.

The StreamCam stands out in a few ways, but its best feature is that it simply takes great video. Logitech’s camera produced some of the brightest and most true-to-life images we’ve seen from any webcam, and still holds up fairly well under less-than-ideal lighting conditions. It also captures at a crisp 1080p resolution and a silky 60 frames per second — the latter essentially means that it’s twice as smooth as most cheaper webcams, and goes a long way toward making you look more lifelike and professional on camera.

Logitech’s premium webcam is also unique in the fact that it can capture in both horizontal and vertical orientations — just pop it out of its stand, rotate it sideways and you’ve got a whole new way to take video. The StreamCam’s vertical video mode can be useful for folks who want to take TikTok- or Instagram-friendly video from their computer, and while I personally don’t use it much, it’s something no other mainstream camera does.

The StreamCam is also refreshingly attractive for a webcam, with a mesh-woven design. If you want a camera that actually complements your setup rather than just a black plastic bar that blends into it, this will fit the bill. And while the StreamCam works great out of the box, there’s some useful companion software for tweaking your shots and recording quick videos.

If I didn’t already have a Logitech StreamCam, this is the kind of deal I’d jump on immediately. Whether you’re starting up a YouTube or Twitch channel or just want to be the sharpest-looking person on your Zoom call, Logitech’s super-crisp camera is an excellent pickup at this price.
