Poll: Clinton Wrong, But Should Stay In Office

WASHINGTON (AllPolitics, Jan. 26) -- Most Americans think President Bill Clinton has done something morally wrong, but not illegal, in the Monica Lewinsky matter, and that he should remain in office, according to a new public opinion survey.

The new CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll also finds, however, slipping confidence in Clinton's ability to govern given the scandal swirling around him.

The poll of 874 adult Americans was conducted Saturday and Sunday and has a margin of error of +/-3.5 percentage points.
