Woot! is discounting several older Android phones for one day only. The deals range from the really old, with phones like the Google Pixel 2 or Samsung Galaxy S7, to the more recent Galaxy Note9 or Galaxy S9.
Every phone included in the promotion is refurbished and has the “S&D” label attached to it. That stands for “scratch and dent,” meaning the phones will have some cosmetic damage or wear and tear but are fully functional. As long as you’re OK with covering up any damage with a case, you can save yourself some money. Not to mention, having a spare phone on hand — to entertain your kids, or to use as a backup device in case yours breaks and you need to send it in for repair — is always a good idea.
All the promotions are good through the end of the day or until they’re sold out.
The Samsung Galaxy Note9 that’s on sale has 128GB of storage, expandable storage via micro SD, and a 6.4-inch display. The Note’s large display works with the included S Pen, so you can jot down notes or sketch in apps. This specific model will only work with GSM carriers, which means it won’t work on Verizon Wireless or Sprint. But if you use T-Mobile or AT&T, it will work just fine.

Like the Note9, the Galaxy S9 and S9+ will only work on GSM networks. The S9 has 64GB of storage and a 5.8-inch display and is available in black, blue or purple. The S9+ has a 6.2-inch screen and 64GB of storage, but it’s only available in purple. Both phones have expandable storage via a micro SD card.
- Refurbished Samsung Galaxy S9 ($249.99, originally $499.99; woot.com)
- Refurbished Samsung Galaxy S9+ ($269.99, originally $449.99; woot.com)
We highlighted the Note9 and S9 series because they’re the most current phones included in the promotion. However, if you simply need a phone without all the bells and whistles, we’d recommend the Pixel 2 for $89.99. It’s unlocked to work with any carrier and has 64GB of storage and a 5-inch display.
- Google Pixel 2 ($89.99, originally $100; woot.com)
