Awards season ramped up Sunday night with the 77th Golden Globes.

The Golden Globes honor the best in television and film. The award recipients are chosen by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which is comprised of entertainment journalists from around the world.

Ricky Gervais hosted the show for a fifth time.
