• Facebook & Twitter execs confront disinformation. More than year out from the 2020 races, the Federal Election Commission is due to host leaders of the influential social media platforms to talk about disrupting efforts to spread political lies. Facebook, Twitter and Google execs the next day are expected at a US Senate panel hearing on extremism and mass violence online.
• Dems spar in their fourth debate: A dozen candidates are scheduled to take the stage in the key battleground state of Ohio as impeachment drama continues to consume their would-be White House rival. CNN anchors Anderson Cooper and Erin Burnett, along with New York Times National Editor Marc Lacey, moderate. Tune in at 8 p.m. ET on CNN.

• The Fed chair speaks. In what is always an anticipated moment, Jerome Powell is set to take the mic following a two-day Federal Open Market Committee meeting. Experts expect another rate cut.

• Another impeachment inquiry witness appears. Timothy Morrison, a top Russia and Europe adviser on the National Security Council, is due to corroborate that Trump pressed Ukraine for political help in return for US aid.
FRIDAY
• The US economy gets its health results. The October jobs report is released, along with a manufacturing report. Both are seen as key indicators of the health of the American economy.
