North Korean leader Kim Jong Un arrived in the Russian city of Vladivostok for his first-ever meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Russian state television showed Kim stepping out of his green private train at a railway station in the eastern port city, Wednesday afternoon under a leaden sky.

Kim Jong Un called his visit to Russia "a great joy" during the two leaders' summit Thursday, as the two sides' delegations prepared to meet behind closed doors.
