The third and final supermoon of the year lit up the sky on March 20, closing out a trifecta of supermoons for 2019 that began in January.

The moon, also known as the Full Worm Moon, appeared brighter and bigger in the night sky.

March's full moon also happened on the same day as the spring equinox, welcoming in the season. The last time these two things happened on the same day was March 1981.
