• The perilous mission to evacuate 12 boys and their soccer coach trapped deep inside a flooded cave in northern Thailand is expected to continue after authorities paused to refill the oxygen tanks that rescue divers are using. Four boys were successfully rescued Sunday.

TUESDAY

• A judge set this date as the deadline for reuniting immigrant kids younger than 5 with their parents. But the Department of Health and Human Services, which is responsible for caring for the separated kids, has offered only vague updates on the number of children who have been returned. • The World Cup’s Final Four kicks off with what could be a high-scoring matchup between European neighbors: France vs. Belgium.

WEDNESDAY

• Speaking of Belgium, President Trump heads to Brussels for a NATO summit. Trump’s been demanding that our global allies pay more toward mutual defense and even sent letters last month to key allies threatening to shift the US military presence in Europe if they don’t pony up. Turns out this tactic has gotten European nations to spend more, NATO leaders say, though Trump’s belligerent approach – plus new tariffs – has boosted US-European tensions.
