Lead Image Oscars Party
CNN  —

The Oscar nominees have been announced, and we can’t wait to see who takes home notable awards on March 4.

This year, the ceremony will be hosted by TV host Jimmy Kimmel, who will have the pleasure of announcing top-nominated films. Those include Guillermo del Toro’s “The Shape of Water” with 13 nominations, Christopher Nolan’s “Dunkirk” with eight nominations, and Martin McDonagh’s “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri” with seven. Other popular contenders include “Call Me By Your Name,” “Darkest Hour,” “Get Out,” “Phantom Thread,” “Lady Bird” and “The Post.”

Whenever we watch this grandiose affair, we prefer to at least pretend we’re part of the party — even if it’s from the comfort of our own home, and not so grandiose.

That means we will be sitting down to “dine” with the stars (see our food selections below) and we may take a photo or two of our viewing party guests, even if they aren’t posing on a red carpet.

See below for everything you need — from food to decor and party supplies — to make your Oscars viewing party feel like a full-fledged movie night. Popcorn and all.
