Maria, who was born without arms and legs, was adopted by the Stewart family from a special-needs orphanage in Cavite, Philippines.

Maria plays with her brother, who was also adopted from the Philippines.

Maria, now 3, enjoys coloring, playing with her stuffed animals and rocking out to '80s music.

Maria hikes with her adopted sisters and brother.

Maria receives speech and occupational therapy each month and attends preschool twice a week.

Although she does not speak much, she loves interacting and playing with her siblings.

After a rough time during her first years, Maria now lives a happy life full of love.

"She has given us far more than we will ever give her. She is so full of joy and light, and is an inspiration to all who meet her," mom Adrianne Stewart said.
