The Duggar family just keeps growing.

Jinger Duggar – the sixth of 19 children from the reality show family – announced on Tuesday that she is newly engaged to former professional soccer player, Jeremy Vuolo. The pair let the world know a month ago they were “courting.”

According to Vuolo’s site, the couple met some time ago when he befriended Jinger’s sister and her husband, Jessa and Ben Seewald. Jinger appears on the TLC series “Counting On” with some of her siblings.

Vuolo, who formerly played soccer with the New York Red Bulls and San Antonio Scorpions, said his friendship with the Seewalds led to trips to visit the supersized Duggar family.

“I had known she was a godly young woman with outstanding character and a passion for sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ,” Vuolo wrote on his site. “I remember watching her testimony video that she had made with Ben and thinking, ‘Wow. This girl is amazing.”’

The couple spoke to People magazine about their engagement and expressed thanks to fans for their support.

“We are so excited to take this next step in spending our lives together,” they said. “We are so grateful for how the Lord has brought us together.”

Viewers will get to witness their courtship on “Counting On” which returns to TLC on August 23.
