Top lines from the Republican convention's first night

(CNN)The Republican National Convention kicked off Monday evening at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, with a slew of speakers highlighting presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump's agenda.

Here's a look at some of the memorable quotes from speakers:

"We're going to win, we're going to win so big."

    Ret. Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn

"War is not about bathrooms. War is not about political correctness or words that are meaningless. War is about winning."
He also added: "I have called on Hillary Clinton to drop out of the race because she put our nation's security at extremely high risk with her careless use of a private email server. Lock her up, lock her up ... Damn right."

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani

"When they come to save your life, they don't ask if you're black or white, they just come to save you," he said of law enforcement officers.

    New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie

"I'm doing just fine, Dana," Christie told CNN's Dana Bash, in the wake of getting passed over as Trump's VP pick.
"We had a conversation that is typical of our relationship for the last 14 years. Which means it was freewheeling, rollicking and private," he said, when asked about his conversation with Trump following the decision.

"Ladies and gentleman, I would like to make something very clear -- blue lives matter in America."

Rep. Michael McCaul, chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security

Pat Smith, mother of Sean Smith, who died in the Benghazi attack

"I blame Hillary Clinton personally for the death of my son ... If Hillary Clinton can't give us the truth, why should we give her the presidency? That's right, Hillary for prison. She deserves to be in stripes."

"Is Donald Trump a messiah? No. He's just a man."

Willie Robertson, star of A&E's "Duck Dynasty"

"It's been a rough year for the media experts. It must be humbling to be so wrong about so much for so long."
