(CNN)The Bernie Sanders campaign will introduce television ads in South Carolina later this week, state director Chris Covert told CNN.

Sanders' campaign already has television ads playing in early voting states like Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada. South Carolina will be the last of the early states to hit the airwaves.
The campaign has previously only played radio ads in the state, many of which were targeted to African American voters in the state. For example, "House of Cards" star Reg E. Cathey narrated a radio ad in South Carolina that started playing in early December.
The Sanders campaign is expected to make the announcement during a press conference on Monday, where Covert confirms they will also receive the endorsement of state representative Justin T. Bamberg.
