The cast of the film "Straight Outta Compton" scored a surprising nomination for a SAG Award in the category of outstanding cast in a motion picture. Also nominated were the casts of "Beasts of No Nation," "Spotlight," "The Big Short" and "Trumbo."

"The Revenant" snagged Leonardo DiCaprio a nomination for outstanding performance by a male actor in a leading role in a motion picture. Bryan Cranston ("Trumbo"), Johnny Depp ("Black Mass"), Michael Fassbender ("Steve Jobs") and Eddie Redmayne ("The Danish Girl") were also nominated. New Regency Pictures

The cast of "Game of Thrones" is up for outstanding performance by an ensemble in a TV drama series. Also nominated were the casts of "Downton Abbey," "Homeland," "House of Cards" and "Mad Men." NICK WALL/HBO

Uzo Aduba is a contender for outstanding female actor in a comedy series for her role as Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren on "Orange Is the New Black." Edie Falco ("Nurse Jackie"), Ellie Kemper ("Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt"), Julia Louis-Dreyfus ("Veep") and Amy Poehler ("Parks and Recreation") are also nominated. Netflix
Julianna Margulies scored a nomination for outstanding female actor in a lead role in a TV drama for "The Good Wife." Other nominees were Claire Danes ("Homeland"), Viola Davis ("How to Get Away With Murder"), Maggie Smith ("Downton Abbey") and Robin Wright ("House of Cards"). CBS
Ty Burrell plays bumbling dad Phil Dunphy on "Modern Family" and is nominated for outstanding male actor in a comedy series along with Louis C.K. ("Louie"), Jim Parsons ("Big Bang Theory"), William H. Macy ("Shameless") and Jeffrey Tambor ("Transparent"). ABC
