Afghan security forces keep watch at the site of a huge blast near the entrance of Kabul's international airport.

A suicide bomber detonated his car at a checkpoint near the entrance to Kabul International Airport, killing four people and wounding 15 others, Afghan officials said.

One of the injured is a child, the Afghan health ministry said.

The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.

The explosion Monday took place after three separate attacks in Afghanistan killed more than 50 people on Friday.
