
Ian Hart worked in financial services before setting up a craft gin distillery called Sacred Spirits, in his own home in London.

Hart, pictured here, says one of the most important ways to promote your product is to choose a catchy name.

His gin is available in London's Selfridges department store and stockists in 16 other countries across the world.

The entrepreneur advises all aspiring distillers to build in extra cash in their business plan to account for the times when sales are slow.

He also warns not to cut corners when it comes to obtaining all the various permits necessary for running a drinks business, and stick to the letter of the law.
